Role Overview
PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer experiences, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store operations, from sales to pet health, in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders for seamless pickup.
- Promote sales, events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment, while ensuring safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly and assist in grooming/services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
