Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Burlington, Ontario store, you'll deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers variety, from customer interactions to pet habitat maintenance, in a dynamic retail setting passionate about pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, customers; respond to sick pets and transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, with schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and composure essential.
