Role Overview
As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Burlington store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with animals daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order fulfillment, and sales at register.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, habitat cleaning (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks: price changes, product staging, facing/filling shelves, and recovery to sales floor standards.
- Promote services, live pets, events like adoption weekends, and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
