Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Burnaby, BC, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and career pathing in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety for associates/pets/customers, and handle sick pet situations promptly.
- Recommend products/services to boost sales and support various store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, handle live animals, and work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, climbing, stooping in a pet-filled environment.
