Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Calgary, Alberta, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and sales.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals including feeding, cleaning, and vet transport.
- Execute merchandising: facing products, price changes, and recovery to standards.
- Promote events, recommend products/services, and ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Support store operations across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing, ladder use). Comfort with animals and moderate noise/wet environments essential.
