Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Calgary, Alberta, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role supports sales, services, and pet health, with flexibility across store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and smooth checkouts.
• Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets—including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new inventory, handle price changes, and recover sales floor.
• Promote sales, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
