Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Catonsville, Maryland, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and a chance to do what you love every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock products, and recover sales floor.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Passion for pets is key.
