Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Cedar Park, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while maintaining store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and daily joy working with animals and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Recommend products, services, and pets; ensure safety by addressing sick/injured animals promptly.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items required.
