Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, uphold store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Manage pet health: feed, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and transport sick pets.
- Merchandise: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and assist store-wide; follow policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb, stoop; exposed to animals/noise). Depth perception and teamwork essential.
