Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Cochrane store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services, with room to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote events, recommend products/services/live pets, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Respond urgently to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and support all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and are available evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
