Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Assist across store areas, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, handle live animals, and work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, climbing, stooping in a pet-filled environment.
