Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Covington Louisiana you'll engage pet parents and pets delivering positive experiences while maintaining store standards pet safety and cleanliness. This entry-level role offers dynamic variety from customer service to hands-on pet care in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings questions online order prep and seamless checkouts
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed water clean habitats (fish birds reptiles small animals) and administer vet-directed meds
- Execute merchandising: face fill recover products handle price changes and stage new inventory
- Sell merchandise services live pets and promote events like adoptions Treats enrollment and charity drives
- Maintain safety cleanliness and respond immediately to sick/injured pets transporting to vet as needed
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet enthusiasts thrive! Must have strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina (lift 50lbs+ climb ladders work in pet hair/noise). Vision for depth perception and team lifting for 100lbs+ essential.
