Role Overview

Our full-time Pet Associate (Retail Sales Associate) engages pet parents, delivers exceptional service, and ensures pet safety and store excellence. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care, sales opportunities, and flexibility in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover sales floor.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Vision for depth perception needed.
