Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate Pet Associate in Culpeper Virginia you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility growth and the joy of working with animals every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person online phone and at register; greet answer questions prepare pickups
- Provide direct pet care: feed water clean habitats for birds reptiles fish small animals; administer vet-directed meds
- Ensure store excellence: face fill recover products execute price changes stage merchandise maintain cleanliness
- Sell recommend merchandise services live pets; promote events like adoptions Treats charity
- Prioritize safety: monitor pets take action on illnesses transport to vet as needed; assist storewide
Essential Physical Demands
Stand walk lift 50lbs+ team lift 100lbs+ climb kneel reach; exposed to pets hair noise wet areas mechanical parts. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience needed but pet passion helps. Must have strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina for dynamic retail-pet environment.
