Role Overview
PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) is the heart of our stores, delivering outstanding customer service, pet care, and store operations. This entry-level role in Eagan offers a dynamic environment where you'll interact with pet parents, handle live animals, and contribute to a clean, safe store atmosphere. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this fast-paced retail position.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order fulfillment, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, habitat cleaning (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and vet-directed medications.
- Maintain merchandising standards by facing/filling products, staging new items, and supporting price changes/promotions.
- Promote events like adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, and charity drives while recommending products and services.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets and transport to vets as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key!
