Role Overview

PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer service, ensures pet safety and care, and maintains a clean, inviting store. This entry-level role in Flagstaff offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and a chance to make a daily impact in a fun, pet-filled workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, online, and at checkout; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Deliver direct pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoptions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
