Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Fontana, California, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role involves pet care, sales, merchandising, and ensuring a safe, clean environment for associates, pets, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, including online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Execute store maintenance: cleanliness, price changes, product staging, facing, filling, and recovery to sales floor standards.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety by monitoring pets, transporting sick/injured ones to vets, and maintaining a hazard-free store.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
