Role Overview

PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding pet parent experiences, upholds store standards, and provides direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role involves customer engagement, merchandising, pet health, and safety in a dynamic retail setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
• Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
• Ensure store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and face products per sales floor plans.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain safe environments, respond to sick/injured pets, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing).
