Role Overview
PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer service, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. This entry-level role in Fort Lauderdale, FL, requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and handling live animals in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, including online order fulfillment.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats—feeding, cleaning, and medicating as directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards, responding immediately to pet health issues.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while assisting across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
