Role Overview

PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer service, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. This entry-level role in Frisco, TX, involves dynamic tasks from greeting pet parents to handling live animals, perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Deliver pet healthcare for store animals: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Ensure store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets and assist across store areas as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle pets in a lively environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
