Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Garfield NJ you'll engage pet parents and pets delivering positive experiences while upholding our vision mission values and strategy. Share store maintenance pet safety and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person phone register and online including order pickups
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding watering cleaning habitats and vet-directed medications
- Maintain cleanliness merchandise products execute price changes and promote events
- Recommend products services and live pets ensuring safety for associates pets and customers
- Respond urgently to pet health issues and support all store areas flexibly
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet enthusiasts thrive. Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina (lift 50lbs+ climb stoop handle animals). Thrive in moderate-noise wet pet-hair-filled settings with mechanical exposure.
