Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store-owned pets (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; ensure pet safety and vet transport if needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist in services areas as required.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled settings. Depth perception and team-lifting for 100+ lbs needed.
