Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent interactions, maintain store standards, and provide hands-on care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers dynamic variety, from sales to pet health, in a fun, pet-filled retail setting. Located in Goodyear, Arizona, enjoy flexibility and impact every shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents with greetings, product recommendations, and seamless online order pickups.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store-owned pets (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and uphold cleanliness/safety standards.
- Promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vets, and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and animal handling. Thrive in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled spaces with depth perception for safety.
