Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Grand Blanc, Michigan, you'll deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats—including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks: facing/filling products, staging new items, price changes, and promotional setups.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety by monitoring pets, responding to illnesses/injuries, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
