Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Greensburg, PA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares pet care duties, cleanliness, and safety while supporting sales and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain pristine store conditions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues immediately.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
