Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Guelph store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. Share responsibility for pet care, cleanliness, and safety while supporting sales and operations. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace a dynamic environment with live animals and moderate noise. Flexibility and composure are essential.
