Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Halifax, Nova Scotia, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care. Enjoy flexibility across store areas, including services, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), and vet-directed medications.
- Maintain cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover sales floor.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk extensively, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
