Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Hamilton, New Jersey, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver outstanding service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and handle sick pets.
- Drive sales by recommending products, services, and pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Assist across departments as needed, following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet conditions). Depth perception and team lift capability essential.
