Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Hamilton store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and pathways to advancement in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new inventory, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
• Respond to pet health issues, ensure safe environments, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, with schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
