Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/wet conditions essential.
