Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Henderson, Nevada, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock products, and recover sales floor.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
