Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Houston, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while supporting sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-ups.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, handle price changes, stock products, face/fill shelves per standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick pets, transport to vet if needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: stand/walk/lift 50lbs+, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
