Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Houston, Texas, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and rewards for pet lovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pick-up orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, handle pet emergencies including vet transport.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Passion for pets is key.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs, work in pet hair/wet environments with moderate-high noise and live animals.
