Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health emergencies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
