Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; recommend products and services.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and work with live animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments.
