Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) you'll engage pet parents provide top-tier pet care and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with live animals merchandising and customer service in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive positive pet parent interactions handling sales register online orders and inquiries
- Provide daily care for store pets including feeding cleaning habitats and vet-directed medications
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking facing products price changes and sales floor recovery
- Promote events services merchandise and live pets while ensuring safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and respond swiftly to pet health issues
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have strong communication flexibility for varied shifts and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs+ climbing ladders and animal handling in a moderate-noise pet-filled environment. Pet passion and retail experience are assets; training provided.
