Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. Based in Lancaster, PA, this entry-level role suits animal lovers ready for dynamic retail with growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote merchandise/services/pets.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and event promotion (adoptions, Treats enrollment).
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet environments). Vision for depth perception essential.
