Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick pets, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-filled environment.
