Role Overview
As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Lethbridge store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and drive sales while upholding our vision for pet happiness. This entry-level role offers dynamic responsibilities in a fun, pet-filled environment with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled setting. Depth perception and reasonable accommodations available.
