Role Overview
PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer service, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. This entry-level role in Littleton offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and a chance to make a daily impact in a fun, pet-filled atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, online, phone, and at checkout.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment, and charity drives; recommend products and services.
- Maintain safety standards, respond to pet health issues, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in a pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animals.
