Role Overview
As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll be the friendly face welcoming pet parents and their furry, feathered, or finned friends. This entry-level role combines customer service, pet care, and retail operations to deliver positive experiences while upholding our vision for pet happiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, including seamless online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain pristine store standards by facing/filling products, staging merchandise, executing price changes, and ensuring safety.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Respond swiftly to pet health issues, transport to vets if needed, and assist across all store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), and thrive in a dynamic environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like standing, climbing, and reaching.
