Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Lodi, California, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct animal care while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs frequently (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments with occasional mechanical parts or wet areas. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online. Greet customers, prepare online pickups, care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats. Clean store, stock products, face shelves, execute pricing, sell merchandise/services/pets, promote events, ensure safety, and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina. Pet care experience a plus; training provided for medications and handling.
