Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our London, Ontario store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and drive positive store experiences. This entry-level role supports sales, merchandising, pet health, and safety while upholding PetSmart's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and answer questions.
• Handle pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock products per sales floor plans, and recover merchandise.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets; process online pickups smoothly.
• Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, offer scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), and meet physical demands: standing, lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and composure essential.
