Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Lubbock, Texas, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and a chance to do what you love in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Handle online order pickups, recommend products/services/live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, stocking, and recovery.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Passion for pets is key.
