Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Macedonia, Ohio store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting focused on pet happiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
