Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, services, and pet care, with opportunities to advance in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to drive sales and satisfaction.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a fast-paced, pet-filled setting. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/wet environments essential.
