Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Manage pet health: feed, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick pets.
- Keep store spotless, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while ensuring safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Assist across departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends/holidays. Comfort with live animals, moderate noise, and wet/hairy environments essential. Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
