Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Mayaguez store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for live animals. This entry-level role combines customer service, pet care, and store operations in a dynamic retail environment passionate about pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order fulfillment, and sales recommendations.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and emergency vet transport.
- Execute merchandising tasks like product stocking, facing, recovery, price changes, and promotional setups.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Flexibly support all store areas including services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and animal handling in a lively store with moderate noise and pet hair.
