Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in McKinney, Texas, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an inviting store. Uphold our vision of exceptional pet experiences while supporting sales, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a lively store with moderate noise and pet hair.
