Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Mississauga, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role supports sales, services, and pet health while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
• Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-ups.
• Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
• Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new merchandise, handle price changes.
• Recommend/sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
